2. Its function mainly is to advertise about Nintendo products and give Nintendo more
creditability as a known company. This boosts there popularity and most importantly there cash because besides this site having information, codes and ratings of the latest games. It has its own online store which
makes them a lot of dough to make new products and keep circulating more and more money. Nintendo is a respectable company and has to keep up with its competitors so the web page has to be good, thus this site is
amazingly good.
3. A) Graphics and Layout- The layout on Nintendo.com is quite unique, Java used in the 4 buttons to advertise there latest products. The four buttons of course being the same from a
real N64 controller. The colors used are well sorted out without them clashing to much to promote and make the site ultimately look good, which means more popularity and profits.
At the top of the page
is the Nintendo logo vital piece of graphic material on a site and extremly important to have . It looks like to make the logo what they have done is gotten some pictures of characters from previous advertisements
and releases of games and made the old odd bits into a logo and promote again in itself those characters on the logo, which will sell more of their games. More profits.
The naviagation bars are split into two
main nav bars. The First of these nav bars is the systems bar to goto the other sections of the other game systems (N64, gameboy etc). The second promoting other sections of the site, Hottest games, newest games,
help, FAQ, sports and codes. There is another nav bar but a less crucial one that just links to old releases etc.
Text- This being a site that sells products and not one that is free and updates with
regular people like a article or something. The still have text but only INSIDER text (meaning only inside the logos, banners etc for promting that product or site etc).
